Kevin McDonough has over three decades of C-Level experience in Health Care; as a
Radiation Safety National Sales Manager, Radiology Business Processes Consultant,
Entrepreneurial Business Owner, Radiology Service Provider, TeleRadiology Sales Manager
ARRT X-Ray Technologist and as a Former R.E.M.T. Kevin also consults with many
Hospital Radiology Directors, Health Physicists, Radiation Safety Officers, Diagnostic
Imaging Facilities, Physicians, and Allied Health Care Providers. He is well known to
decision makers in Radiation Safety, X-Ray Business Operations, Diagnostic Imaging,
PACS/RIS Systems, Teleradiology, Regulatory issues in Medicare and Medicaid and is
sought after for advice on complex, regulatory issues. He was instrumental in the adoption
of electronic medical billing systems and created, marketed and sold Health IT operating
systems along with PACS/RIS, Dosimetry, Safety and Digital Radiography equipment.
In 1983, Kevin McDonough started one of the original Portable X-Ray companies in the
history of Florida, Mobile X-Ray Specialists, Inc. By 1993, it achieved #2 market share in
Florida. In 1993, Kevin McDonough was elected Vice President of the National Association
of Portable X-Ray Providers, a position he held until 1999. In 1993, at the request of many
Florida clients with a presence in the Atlanta, Georgia marketplace, he formed a second
Company, Mobile X-Ray Specialists of Georgia, Inc., which achieved #2 market share in
Georgia within 12 months. In 1997, Kevin McDonough sold his Georgia business to ACT.
In 1999, the former CFO of ACT, Chris Aschenback, previously purchased RADS Mobile
X-Ray & EKG, in Clearwater, Florida and persuaded Kevin McDonough to sell his Florida
Company to RADS in the year 2005. As a result of many, unsolicited requests for Practice
Management Consulting in the diagnostic imaging, teleradiology and medical billing/coding
industries, Kevin launched an informative web site (www.mobilexrayconsultant.com)
providing Radiology Business Practice Consultations. His Consulting empowers new and
existing companies to grow and develop. He has managed several Diagnostic Centers also.
A Fearless “road warrior” and Professional Medical Salesman, Kevin McDonough is often
asked to “open up” a new territory for companies lacking the manpower or know how needed
to successfully roll out major sales efforts. To date, Kevin McDonough has contracted with
Diagnostic Imaging Business Owners in over 30 States for multiple needs including Mergers
and Acquisitions. He was a Top Sales Producer at Mirion Technologies as their Southeast
Regional Sales Manager for Dosimetry Services covering 10 Southeast States. This RSM
role created great working relationships with 1000’s of Radiology Directors & RSO’s. In,
September, 2018, Kevin became the National Sales Director for PL Medical Dosimetry.

Society of Radiologic Technologists and South Carolina Radiologic Technologist Society.
